group REGISTRATION POLICY Notwithstanding
the route available through individual registration already defined by
the BCTC, therapists can benefit from group applications co-ordinated on
their behalf by their Professional Association if the Professional
Association’s administrative procedures meet the strict BCTC criteria
of a “Participating Therapy” that qualifies it to submit group
registration as defined below: ·
The
Professional Association is represented as a
Participating Therapy of the BCTC. and ·
The
therapists practice a therapy that is a participating therapy of the
BCTC. and ·
The
therapist is a full member of a Professional Association of that
specific Participating Therapy. and ·
The
Professional Association has incorporated
the BCTC Training and Education Standards into its approved therapy
specific training programme. and ·
The
Professional Association has demonstrated that its members have: o
Provided
proof of the successful completion of their training in that therapy’s
approved training programme. o
Provided
proof of identity (A certified copy of either
your passport or DVLA driving licence or recent passport-style photo and
a copy of a recent utility bill (to verify address details)).NB:
If documents provided under different names then ensure supporting
evidence is provided eg; marriage certificate. o
Signed
to agree to abide by the requirements laid down by the BCTC in the BCTC
Documents, specifically regarding Standards of Safe Practice, Continuous
Professional Development and the BCTC Code of Ethics (for all therapies
practised). o
Provided
evidence of adequate and current practice insurance for that therapy. o
Been
issued with a Certificate of Membership for that therapy Professional
Association. and ·
The
Professional Association has demonstrated that on renewing their
membership in the Professional Association annually its members have: o
Provided
evidence of adequate and current practice insurance for that therapy. o Signed in their renewal application to agree to continue to abide by the requirements laid down by the BCTC in the BCTC Documents, specifically regarding Standards of Safe Practice, Continuous Professional Development, Code of Ethics and Complaints procedure (for all therapies practiced) and ·
In
making a group application on behalf of its qualifying members the
Professional Association agrees to: o
provide
a signed copy of the BCTC
Policy Confirmation Document and o
provide
copies of all relevant application/renewal proformas in use for its
members to join and re-new membership of that Professional Association. and o
provide
a copy of the training programme(s) recognised by the Professional
Association. and
o
provide
the following details* concerning each of its members: §

mobile number §
Qualifying
therapy applied for and o
provide
BCTC with any changes to these details* as they occur. *
(Only the name, general location and qualifying therapy of the
individual therapist will be listed on the BCTC website/register) and o make available their members’ records if requested by the BCTC as part of its ongoing audit.
