What Does a Regulator Do?

What does VSR mean for all of us?

First and foremost, VSR means greater protection for the public - by safeguarding the public, we further our own future professions by...

Setting professional standards - that relate to how complementary therapists practice their professions. This doesn't just apply to those therapies currently offered by the NHS, but ALL complementary therapies.

Q: What kind of standards? A: (1) A professional Code of Ethics, (2) Standards of Practice (i.e. how you conduct yourself when practising your therapy); and (3) Standards for Training & CPD (Continuing Professional Development).

Finally, by creating a Public Register, we offer everyone a way of checking a therapist's credentials.
